We don’t play around

when it comes to quality.

Instant oats? Quick grits? These are two things you’ll NEVER find on our menu.

Why, you may ask? Instant oats and quick grits are just two examples of highly processed (and as a result, rather mushy and flavorless) ingredients many larger chain restaurants use for a cheap, quick filler item. Let’s just say in all together in a thick Southern drawl: “Well, bless their little hearts!”

We are always looking for the highest quality of ingredients we can find, regardless of the cost- and you can really see and taste the difference. No other place in town does it like we do… We make our jams in-house without chemical preservatives and with minimal ingredients you can actually pronounce; we pickle our okra, jalapeños, and pickles fresh using our homemade pickling brine, and we choose our ingredients carefully and selectively, only agreeing to serve the absolute best. Our gravy is made from scratch, starting with a roux and tossing in locally sourced breakfast sausage, and our biscuits are mixed using high-quality flour and European high-fat-content butter, then rolled out and cut all day long.
